Developing Minds was launched in 2002 to promote volunteerism by connecting volunteers and nonprofit organization through its online platform - www.developingminds.org. At no cost, nonprofit organizations registered on the site and posted volunteer opportunities, information on social events and other organizational news. Over a six month beta period, 140 potential volunteers signed-up to volunteer with Developing Minds' ten nonprofit partners, all of whom were based in Arizona.
